Saggy Boobs – Like Them or Not?
Chidera Eggerue, a 23 year old blogger started the movement Saggy Boobs Matter after years of feeling insecure about the shape of her breasts. To her, her breasts weren’t seen as perky or round enough as the ones she saw projected in the media. Though plastic surgery was an option, Chidera chose not to go down this route. Instead Chidera launched the movement Saggy Boobs Matter to help normalize different types of breasts.
“I created the hashtag Saggy Boobs Matter because women are shamed when their bodies don’t appease the male gaze,” Chidera wrote on Instagram. “Saggy boobs are under-represented, being this makes you feel alienated to society”.
Boob related insults started in middle school and haven’t stopped much since, so this movement has been long overdue. All boobs are beautiful and saggy ones are no exception.
Whether you have saggy boobs or not, there is probably some part of your body you don’t love, you are insecure about or makes you feel separate from mainstream society! Whatever it is, your body is yours and because of that, it is beautiful. Our bodies do amazing things everyday – breasts are important, regardless of their shape, size and feel, they look good, are admired, are comforting and feed the human race. Whatever your breast shape, look and size, be happy with yours!
